The New York Giants selected Ryan Connelly, an inside linebacker from Wisconsin, in Round 5 of the 2019 NFL Draft on Saturday, 143rd overall.
In his draft guide, Dane Brugler of The Athletic says:
Connelly has little margin for error with his skill-set, but he is an instinctive hunter with the special teams mentality that will give him a chance to make the 53-man roster.
Sounds like the next Chase Blackburn or Mark Herzlich.
Ryan Connelly: "It's pretty surreal going form being a HS QB walking on at Wisconsin to getting to play LB for the Giants.
