EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- The New York Giants aren't in tear-it-all-down mode. They're building, according to general manager Dave Gettleman.
In his mind, that doesn't preclude the Giants from making noise this year.
"Really and truly, you can win while you're building," Gettleman said Monday on a conference call with reporters to discuss the trade of star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
Beckham was traded last week to the Cleveland Browns. The Giants received first- and third-round draft picks and third-year safety Jabrill Peppers in return for the Pro Bowl receiver.
