George Young, Giants Super Bowl architect, finally gets Hall of Fame nod

A place in Canton has finally been carved for the architect of the Giants first two Super Bowl victories.

George Young is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The man who saved the Giants – not too strong or dramatic a sentiment – was selected Wednesday by a special, one-time blue-ribbon panel created to celebrate the NFL’s 100th anniversary. The panel picked 15 new members – 10 players from at least 25 years ago, three contributors and two coaches. The two coaches, Jimmy Johnson and Bill Cowher, were announced this past weekend.
