I would say the main reason the New York Giants didn’t re-sign running back Wayne Gallman is because he doesn’t play special teams, which is very important not only in the NFL but with head coach Joe Judge.
When the Giants drafted running back Gary Brightwell in the 6th round they knew they were getting complete player that can play special teams. He’s already admitted that he’s ready to get to work.
“I’m excited to bring some special teams to the field,” said Brightwell, via Giants Wire. “I’m going to bring a lot of explosive plays, but my priority right now is getting the playbook, getting on special teams and dominating.
