Thin at the position, the New York Giants are having former Pro Bowl safety Donte Whitner in for a tryout on Sunday, according to a source.
Whitner, 31, made the Pro Bowl from 2012-14. He was cut by the Cleveland Browns earlier this year, and had a tryout with the Carolina Panthers this summer.
The Giants head into Monday night’s matchup with the Vikings with only two healthy natural safeties.
