News broke on Tuesday morning that former New York Giants’ head coach Jim Fassel has passed away at the age of 71 after suffering a heart attack.

According to numerous reports, Fassel, who lived outside of Las Vegas, was taken to a hospital with chest pains and died of a heart attack while under sedation.
Fassel was a professional football player himself from 1972-75. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 1972 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He also played for the San Diego Chargers, Houston Oilers, Toronto Argonauts and The Hawaiians.
