Former New York Giants star Luke Petitgout charged into a midtown bar and blindsided his estranged wife and her date in a jealous rage, prosecutors said Monday.
“The defendant walked into a bar and hit two people because he didn’t like what they were doing,” prosecutor Carolina Nevin said in her opening statement in Manhattan Criminal Court.
“It wasn’t a fight — no one was engaging with the defendant at the time.”
Luke Petitgout, 39, was arrested after allegedly slugging John Constantinides and Jennifer Petitgout in June 2014, but charges relating to his wife were not added until months later.
