The next step in Chad Wheeler‘s felony domestic violence case has occurred.
Wheeler, a former Giants and Seahawks offensive lineman, pleaded not guilty on Monday. Last month, the 27-year-old was accused of strangling his girlfriend until she became unconscious. The victim was bleeding and suffered a dislocated arm from the attack. Wheeler allegedly committed the act when she refused to bow to him and was surprised she was alive when she regained consciousness and rushed to a bathroom to dial 911.
He was arrested, held at Kings County Jail in Washington State, and subsequently charged with first-degree domestic violence assault, domestic violence unlawful imprisonment, and resisting arrest.
