Five things Giants must do to end playoff drought

It’s been messy and imperfect, filled with so many mistakes. But the way Eli Manning sees it, this Giants season can still be a special one. Sure, they’ve dropped interceptions, made their share of clock-management gaffes, and the offseason Jason Pierre-Paul sideshow only recently subsided. But they will still come out of their bye week with a 5-5 record and, at worst, be tied for first place in the messy NFC East.

“You would obviously like to have more wins, but we still have the lead in the division,” Manning says. “And if we take care of our business and do what we have to do and win these next six games, that would guarantee us a spot in the playoffs.
