EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — The Jets were in serious trouble.
Then Ryan Fitzpatrick got busy.
The journeyman quarterback helped erase a 10-point fourth quarter deficit and then led his team on an eventual game-winning drive in overtime as the Jets eked out a 23-20 win over the Giants on Sunday at MetLife Stadium.
Following a 31-yard field goal by Randy Bullock with 8:45 left in the extra session, Eli Manning and the Giants marched into Jets’ territory, but Josh Brown’s 48-yard field goal attempt went wide, touching off a massive celebration on the Jets’ sideline.
