EAST RUTHERFORD -- Sam Beal's rookie season with the Giants might be over before it started.
Beal aggravated a pre-existing shoulder injury during his first career NFL practice Monday and the team has discussed several possible courses of treatment since then, according to a source. Practices are non-contact and without pads early in camp, so it is unclear how Beal was injured.
It is possible Beal could try to play with a shoulder harness. If Beal needs season-ending surgery -- as appears likely and was first reported by ESPN's Dianna Russini -- it will be his second such operation of 2018.
