The NY Giants’ linebacker corps could be getting a boost after David Mayo was activated off injured reserve ahead of Sunday’s game vs. Washington Football Team
The NY Giants activated linebacker David Mayo from injured reserve Friday, and the expectation is he will make his 2020 NFL season debut Sunday against the Washington Football Team.
Mayo, 27, was placed on injured reserve back in August when he suffered a torn meniscus.
The veteran linebacker was one of the first players re-signed this offseason by general manager Dave Gettleman, and should see snaps on special teams and perhaps on defense as early as Sunday alongside Blake Martinez.
