Over the weekend, former New York Giants backup quarterback Jared Lorenzen was hospitalized. Lorenzen was admitted to the intensive care unit with kidney, heart issues as well as an infection. Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio first reported the news on Friday.
Lorenzen’s family then released a statement on his health on Sunday.
“Jared had not been feeling well for a few weeks and that finally caught up with him,” the family said.
Lorenzen has always had a bigger build than most quarterbacks, but his weight has gotten a lot worse over the past few years.
