NEW YORK -- The Giants are 0-1, but Tom Coughlin is 1-0.
The former Giants coach, now the Jaguars' executive vice president of football operations, was back in town Friday for the 13th Tom Coughlin Jay Fund Champions for Children Gala, which was scheduled to coincide with this weekend's 10th anniversary of the Super Bowl XLII team.
Coughlin hopes to be in attendance when the championship team is honored at Monday night's home opener against the Lions. He has to fly back to Jacksonville first, though, to be with his Jags as they aim for a 2-0 start at home against the Titans.
