Former Giants cornerback Will Allen committed 23 federal felonies and faces the possible punishment of decades in prison for his part in a alleged scheme to defraud investors, according to an indictment issued by the U.S. Attorney in Massachusetts.
Allen, 36, was charged with fraud by the Securities and Exchange Commission for allegedly operating a $31 million Ponzi scheme. The indictment handed down last week seeks to convict Allen on 12 counts of wire fraud, six counts of aggravated identity theft, one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and four counts of illegal monetary transactions, according to The Palm Beach Post.
