Former New York Giants practice squad linebacker Cole Farrand put his life on the line in order to save an elderly man from a burning house.
“I mean, everyone’s giving me a lot of praise,” Farrand said, via the Washington Post. “I feel like it’s not needed. It’s not like I ran into a burning house and rescued a whole bunch of orphans or something like that. … I just helped a guy off the roof. I wasn’t trying to be hero or anything like that. I was just trying to do my civic duty, you know?
