Andrew Thomas made “dramatic” improvement from Week 1 to Week 17 of his rookie season as the left tackle for the New York Giants, according to the assessment of Pat Flaherty, Giants offensive line coach from 2004-2015.
Flaherty, nicknamed ‘Flats,’ broke down the four offensive tackles drafted in the first round in a video for the 33rd Team.
In evaluating the No. 4 overall pick, Flaherty saw what others have previously pointed out. That being that Thomas gave up the inside ‘an awful lot in the first half of the year.”
Thomas surrendered 36 pressures in his first seven NFL games, but only 21 over the final nine of the 2020 season.
