Former third-round selection of the New York Giants, Damonte Moore, never lived up to the expectations which surrounded him when he entered the league. Thought to be the heir apparent to Justin Tuck alongside Jason Pierre-Paul in the Giants’ pass rush, Moore just never got his act together in New York.
After a breakout campaign in 2014 where he registered 5.5 sacks and 32 tackles, Moore looked poised for a larger role in the defense. However, despite leading the team in sacks through the first 11 games the following year, the Giants’ waived Moore for violating team rules.
