Even Saquon Barkley’s dad can’t escape Eagles fans’ ire

If Saquon Barkley hops off the bus Monday night outside Lincoln Financial Field and sees hands raised in the air, the Giants’ biggest star won’t assume they are waving to welcome home a favorite son.

“You might see different types of hand gestures when you’re going to Philly,” Barkley quipped. “But that’s Philly.”

Malcolm Jenkins, the Eagles safety from Piscataway, N.J., says that’s common just about everywhere, not just reserved for player homecomings or this NFC East rivalry.

“You get the middle finger probably everywhere,” Jenkins said. “That’s normal at every stadium.”

Barkley, who played high school football 70 miles outside of Philadelphia in Whitehall, Pa.
