The New York Giants might have to turn to Evan Neal to start at right tackle this Monday against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Starting right tackle Jermaine Eluemunor was held out of practice on Friday due to a hip injury. Head coach Brian Daboll told reporters he was “hopeful” that Eluemunor would be available Monday against the Steelers.
Neal was the first-team right tackle during Friday’s practice.
The Giants are already dealing with the loss of left tackle Andrew Thomas for the season due to surgery for a Lisfranc injury. Josh Ezeudu gave up two sacks against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday in his first start in place of Thomas.
