ESPN's John Clayton is reporting that the New York Giants are not one of the four "main teams" interested in free-agent guard Evan Mathis. Clayton said the Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs, Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers are the four leading contenders for Mathis.
A couple of other players some have considered options for the Giants along the offense line are now off the market. Former Atlanta Falcons guard Justin Blalock is retiring. Veteran center/guard Mike Pollak, with 52 career starts for the Colts and Cincinnati Bengals, is also retiring.
