Eugene Monroe rumors: Are 49ers Giants' primary competition?

Other than the #Giants, I'm told the #49ers have shown preliminary interest in Eugene Monroe. The #Seahawks discussed him in conversations.

ESPN's Josina Anderson tweeted Thursday, as you can see above, that the San Francisco 49ers right now appear to be in competition with the New York Giants for the services of now-free agent offensive tackle Eugene Monroe.

Our friends at SB Nation's 49ers web site, Niners Nation, aren't so sure about that.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this summed up the 49ers "interest" in Eugene Monroe.
