EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- On the few occasions when he speaks to the media, soft-spoken Ereck Flowers is a man of very few words.
Trying to get Flowers to say much to reporters can be painstaking sometimes. Convincing Tom Coughlin to reveal his entire game plan for the week might be easier by comparison.
But during the Giants' 27-7 loss to the Eagles on Monday night, cameras caught Flowers delivering an impassioned plea to the offense to play better.
Flowers may be the team's first-round draft pick but rookies don't tend to be the first guys leading sideline talks when things are going wrong.
