We were one of the first publications to broach the idea of Eli Manning getting a farewell tribute start with the New York Giants way back in October, and as we said at the time, it might just end up happening due to injury anyway. Outside of Brett Favre (and now Philip Rivers), we’ve never seen a quarterback display the type of durability that Manning has during his Big Blue career, and that becomes even more highlighted now as Daniel Jones didn’t last ten games without suffering an injury.
While no Giant fan wants to see our prized young quarterback go down with an injury, it’s hard not to be a little jubilant to see #10 trot out there (at least) one more time, as this season has taken a toll on the mental well being of us all.
