EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants practice had an unusual look and feel on Friday at the Quest Diagnostics Training Center. Eli Manning wore a hat instead of a helmet, wasn't behind center, didn't practice with his teammates and instead looked as if he were a coach, not a quarterback.
Manning, along with several other veterans (wide receiver Brandon Marshall, defensive tackle Damon Harrison, linebacker Jonathan Casillas, cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and offensive lineman John Jerry) were given the day off as their teammates had a walk-through practice.
