Eli Manning isn’t running from his poor play this season.
The Giants’ quarterback might have to run for his life Sunday against a fearsome Ravens pass rush led by Terrell Suggs, but Manning wasn’t avoiding blame Tuesday for Big Blue’s three-game losing streak.
“I need to play better,” Manning said in the wake of his particularly ugly display in Sunday night’s 23-16 loss to the Packers. “I have to make some more throws [and make] better decisions, [and I] can’t turn the ball over. But we will improve.”
After a 2-0 start, the Giants now find themselves 2-3 and in sole possession of last place in the NFC East — and Manning’s subpar performance has been a major reason.
