On Tuesday night, Eli Manning revealed a deep, dark secret from his past — the meaning of “Omaha.”
Speaking Tuesday night at a Giants’ Town Hall for season ticket holders at the Beacon Theatre also featuring Bob Papa, David Diehl, Victor Cruz and Jon Beason, the Giants quarterback told the crowd what it meant when he used to yell “Omaha” at the offensive line.
“Bascially Omaha was maybe we change the play, or maybe we change the protection or Diehl had to tie his shoe or someitng and was taking forever … and the play clock is running down and Omaha just told everybody to put their hand on the ground, shut up and the ball’s about to be snapped.
