Eli Apple is making the most of life after the Giants.
Following two-and-a-half inconsistent seasons in New York, the cornerback was traded to the Saints in October and has been thriving in his new surroundings.
“My teammates, they’re bringing out the best in me,” the 2016 first-round draft pick said this week, according to ESPN. “They push me every day, especially [secondary] Coach AG [Aaron Glenn] and the whole defensive staff.”
Since joining the Saints, Apple, 23, has two interceptions, including one against Carolina in Monday’s 12-9 win over the Panthers.
“Every week, it’s just understanding the defense, understanding how my teammates play and just playing with more confidence,” Apple said.
