EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Cornerback Eli Apple thinks he could’ve made a better play on the touchdown allowed by the New York Giants on third-and-33 in Sunday’s 51-17 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
But the team quiting, as NBC analyst and former Pro Bowl safety Rodney Harrison suggested? Apple doesn’t agree with that assessment of him or his teammates.
“Nah, I don’t want to think we quit out there,” Apple said. “You never just want to think that.
"So, nah, we didn’t quit. We just lost really badly.”
Apple’s not fazed by the harsh criticism, either.
