I would have to say yes. Who expects a free agent from Stony Brook who didn’t join the active roster until Oct. 3 to become the No.1 tight end? Consider that after 13 games, Tye had the same number of receptions as Larry Donnell, who is out for the season with a neck injury. Tye had gained 103 more yards (326-223), had a 45-yard reception (Donnell’s longest was 22), and scored a touchdown.
