East Rutherford mayor James Cassella has made it clear that he’s not on board with the idea of MetLife Stadium hosting another Super Bowl.
“There really would have to be a number of changes to make it work next time,” Cassella said Friday, via Anthony G. Attrino of NJ.com. “New York was played up far more than New Jersey.”
“They billed it as a New York event, so people stayed in the New York hotels and ate in the New York restaurants,” he said. “Most people were spending their money in New York. The hotels here got hurt by that.
