Heading into the 2015 NFL Draft, the Eagles had a massive need at safety, with just Malcolm Jenkins and a collection of journeymen on their roster.
Instead of addressing the need, the team and then-top personnel executive Chip Kelly took receiver Nelson Agholor with the 20th overall pick, passing on the top safety in the draft, Landon Collins
Passing on Collins was a mistake then, but close to two years later, just how much of a mistake it was will be clear on Thursday night when the Giants come to Lincoln Financial Field.
Collins, who the Giants took with the top pick in the second round, is in the running for Defensive Player of the Year this season, totaling 108 tackles, five interceptions, three sacks and one touchdown.
