News came out on Wednesday that New York Giants’ quarterback Alex Tanney is retiring from the NFL after a nine year career. The thought was that he will end up pursuing a coaching career. Of course we didn’t know whether that would be in high school, college or the NFL.
Well, Tanney has already landed a coaching job with the Philadelphia Eagles as an offensive quality control coach. With new head coach Nick Sirianni putting his staff together he decided to give Tanney his first gig.
What’s interesting is that Tanney doesn’t have any previous ties to the Eagles because he never played for them.
