NASHVILLE, Tenn. — David Cutcliffe is by no means an unbiased spectator in the Giants’ quarterback situation, but he does know a thing or two about the position.
And he believes matching Daniel Jones with Eli Manning, as the Giants did Thursday night by drafting the Duke QB with the No. 6 pick, is “a match made in heaven.”
“I can’t pick a better scenario for either one of them,” Cutcliffe, Jones’ coach at Duke and Manning’s coach at Ole Miss, said Thursday night. “Listen, it’s Eli Manning. Think about what he knows about playing quarterback in the National Football League.
