Earlier in the offseason, reports had surfaced that a battle for the starting quarterback job would stir up for the New York Giants in 2024 following the team’s signing of free agent signal caller Drew Lock and the return of starter Daniel Jones from injury.
During Thursday’s OTA practice the veteran Lock laid those reports to rest when asked about being the most popular player among the fans.
“I wouldn’t say that,” Lock told reporters. “I would say I appreciate the people that respect my game and know what I can do. But you’re the backup, and you’re here to help Daniel (Jones).
