Drafting Daniel Jones seen as Giants’ riskiest offseason move

The New York Giants have made some dubious personnel decisions this past offseason, but none could be riskier than the selection of Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick in this year’s NFL Draft.

In his two offseasons as general manager of the New York Giants, Dave Gettleman has turned over his roster at a head-spinning rate. He’s traded away some of the team’s best players: Odell Beckham, Jr.. Olivier Vernon, Eli Apple, Jason Pierre-Paul and Damon Harrison to name a few and allowed others, such as Landon Collins, to walk away via free agency.

As the Giants prepare for training camp later this month, there are only 14 players remaining from the Jerry Reese era.
