Doctors are now hopeful that New York Giants TE Daniel Fells will not lose his foot as a result of the MRSA infection (Graziano, Oct. 13).
Fells, who is fighting a staph infection he contracted two weeks ago, has already undergone five surgeries in order to combat the infection in hopes of preventing it from spreading throughout his body. He has continued to respond positively to treatments in recent days.
The Giants dedicated Sunday night’s victory to Fells and presented him with a game ball through Skype on Monday morning.
