Delay in Saquon Barkley’s knee surgery might be a good thing

I got the feeling when ACL surgery for New York Giants’ running back Saquon Barkley was delayed that it wouldn’t be a good thing when it comes to him being ready for next season. It might actually help him recover quicker.

Dr. Guillem Gonzalez-Lomas, an orthopedic surgeon at NYU Langone Sports Health, claims that if you wait until the knee almost feels normal it will speed up the recovery process. Check out the excerpt from Dan Duggan of The Athletic below.

The good news is that Barkley will undergo surgery today, according to Kim Jones of the NFL Network and WFAN.
