PHILADELPHIA — The world got to see the much-awaited trailer for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” but the Giants on Monday night took part in a sequel that was panned the first time around.
Call this one The Farce Awakens.
The downward spiral that ruined their 2014 season got started at Lincoln Financial Field and the good vibes they were building this season were soured with another shoddy performance against the Eagles. Mistakes, turnovers, lackluster offense and no points in the final 55 minutes made for a showing worthy of straight-to-video viewing as the Giants were whipped 27-7 in a game that brought all those nasty flaws to the surface.
