HOUSTON — Giants linebacker Alec Ogletree had a lot more trouble finding his luggage than he did locating Texans running back Lamar Miller in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s gameat NRG Stadium.
The Giants claimed their first win of the season with a 27-22 victory due in part to two second-half turnovers created by the defense when the home team was gaining momentum. One of them, an Ogletree interception of a Deshaun Watson pass into the end zone intended for Miller, came on the second play of the fourth quarter, giving the Giants a much needed reprieve.
“That was a huge boost,” said Pat Shurmur, who won his first game as the Giants head coach.
