When the New York Giants drafted Daniel Jones No. 6 overall the reaction wasn’t kind. Fans didn’t like it. Media panned it. Jones got booed at Yankee Stadium before even throwing a pass as a Giant.
Dave Brown knew that wasn’t necessarily about Jones. The former Duke quarterback, who had a mediocre career with the Giants after being selected in the first round of the 1992 Supplement Draft, told Rich Eisen on Thursday that he knows a lot of that vitriol was about him.
“Some of it is maybe a hangover from my career there,” Brown said.
