Waller has informed the New York Giants that he plans to retire, per a report from NFL.com insider Ian Rapoport.
Waller's decision gives the Giants closure on a situation that's hung over the team all off-season. Waller hasn't attended any of the team's OTAs, and the team hasn't pressed him for a decision.
In a statement on Waller's retirement, the Giants said, “We have great respect for Darren as a person and player. We wish him nothing but the best.”
Now, Waller will call it a career after eight years in the NFL.
