New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones has thrown deep passes over the heads of receivers this season. He has thrown them short. He has thrown them out of bounds. He has completed only 3 of 15 (20%), worse than every quarterback except Caleb Williams.
Jones remains confident in his ability to hit those deep passes, defined as throws 20+ yards beyond the line of scrimmage.
“I think each one’s different,” Jones said on Wednesday. “I think through the first few weeks, I’d overthrown a few in situations. It felt like giving a guy the chance was the way to go and then I left some short.
