We’ve all heard the rumblings and complaints. GM Dave Gettleman likely did in fact select former Duke Blue Devil Daniel Jones too high at number six overall in the 2019 NFL draft. However, if the kid keeps playing like he has in his first two glimpses of action, none of that will matter.
Following up a perfect debut against the Jets, Jones lit up the Chicago Bears defense to the tune of 161 yards and a touchdown on 11-14 passing. We highlighted before last week’s game that what everyone really needed to see was Jones’ ability to make NFL caliber throws.
