EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- New York Giants tight end Daniel Fells, who spent three weeks in the hospital last month and has had eight surgeries to fight off a MRSA staph infection in his right foot, returned to MetLife Stadium Sunday for the first time since contracting his illness.
Fells, who says he's feeling much better following his ordeal, stood on crutches on the Giants' sideline during pregame warmups and chatted both with Giants teammates and some former New England Patriots teammates. He spent much of his time with friend and fellow tight end Larry Donnell, who was inactive for the game due to his neck injury.
