Ray-Ray Armstrong is practicing with the Giants' starting defense in certain situations, so it seems absurd to think of him on the chopping block.
Except the 6-foot-3, 220-pound linebacker was the second-leading tackler and leader in interceptions for the 49ers when he was a surprise cut last November. Once that happens, all bets are off.
"I didn't understand why," Armstrong said. "It's something that will always be in the back of your mind because you thought you were doing good for someone and then all of a sudden you are not there anymore.
