Could N.J. native Gerald Hodges get added to Giants' middle linebacker mix?

The Giants were expected to have a two-man battle in training camp for the middle linebacker job.

Could it soon become a three-horse race?

The Giants are scheduled to host free agent linebacker Gerald Hodges, a Paulsboro, N.J., native, on Tuesday according to Pro Football Talk. Hodges has been a busy guy lately. He recently met with the Colts, Jaguars, Jets and Patriots and is reportedly meeting with the Bills on Monday. Hodges also had visits with the Chiefs and Seahawks earlier this year.

Hodges is an inside linebacker by trade. He played well for the 49ers last season, finishing with 80 tackles and three sacks in 15 games (12 starts).
