On the heels of Sunday's dismal loss to Washington, it was an impassioned Tom Coughlin who begged his Giants to "extend" themselves and give it their all in this weekend's pivotal rivalry clash with the Jets.
"They've got to extend themselves this time of year," Coughlin said Wednesday. "If it's that important to ya, extend yourself.
"Do everything in your power," he added. "We are in December. There's not many games left to play. There's no reason not to totally commit yourself to something you spent your life hoping and dreaming."
Coughlin seemed unhappy with the Giants' intensity on Sunday and it was hard to argue with that assessment when the team listlessly sleepwalked its way into a 17-0 halftime hole before falling, 20-14.
