Coughlin: Giants Have No Intention Of Playing JPP Against Saints Sunday

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Two-time Pro Bowl defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul has rejoined the New York Giants more than three months after losing a finger in a July 4 fireworks accident.

Coach Tom Coughlin says the 26-year-old Pierre-Paul is scheduled to go through calisthenics with the team Wednesday and then work with the medical staff to evaluate his injured right hand. His right index finger was amputated, his thumb was injured and his hand sustained burns in the accident.

Coughlin said that the Giants have no intention at this point of having Pierre-Paul play against the Saints in New Orleans on Sunday.
