It was a big of a surprise when the New York Giants signed both running back Corey Clement and wide receiver/tight end Kelvin Benjamin after both tried out during their rookie mini-camp earlier in the month.
Dan Duggan of The Athletic reported on Wednesday that the Giants are paying both Clement and Benjamin the veteran minimum of $990,000 and it only accounts for $850,000 against the salary cap.
This is just another indication that both Clement and Benjamin aren’t guaranteed to make the Giants’ final 53-man roster.
